KHLIEHRIAT, April 19: The Jaintia Hills Cement Manufacturers Association (JHCMA) has addressed concerns regarding the dispatch of cement through bulker trucks.
According to the JHCMA, bulkers are utilised strictly for large consumers such as Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plants, major infrastructure projects, government works and reputed contractors to ensure efficiency, quality, and a timely supply. These deliveries, it said, are supported by dedicated unloading facilities, and many buyers rely solely on this system owing to their specialised infrastructure. The association clarified that the use of bulkers does not affect local transporters, as conventional truck transport continues to operate, providing equal loading opportunities for all registered transporters.
Maintaining its commitment to a fair and transparent system, the JHCMA urged stakeholders to avoid misunderstandings and rely only on verified information.
