Rihanna lit up Mumbai with her presence as she visited the city for the grand launch of her globally celebrated cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty.
The high-profile event took place at Phoenix Palladium and drew a star-studded crowd from India’s entertainment and fashion circles, including Isha Ambani, Janhvi Kapoor, Kanika Kapoor, Aditi Bhatia, Pashmina Roshan and renowned designer Manish Malhotra.
The global icon impressed fans with a series of striking fashion choices throughout the evening.
She initially appeared in a bold olive-green outfit featuring an oversized top paired with a matching leather skirt, accentuated by her signature confident style and bold red lipstick.
For the main event, Rihanna opted for a sophisticated black gown with a glossy fitted panel and soft pleated detailing, exuding elegance.
Later, at the after-party, she changed into a chic black fit-and-flare dress with a high neckline and crocodile-style leather cut-outs, giving her look a modern edge.
Adding a distinct Indian touch to her ensembles, Rihanna accessorised with exquisite jewellery pieces from Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Her look included a signature haathphool and a selection of gemstone-studded bracelets and rings crafted with tourmaline, emerald, ruby and diamonds, showcasing a fusion of global glamour and traditional Indian artistry.
Designer Manish Malhotra later shared images of Rihanna wearing his creation, calling it a signature moment.
Beyond fashion, a candid and heartwarming interaction made headlines online. In a viral video, Rihanna was seen asking how to say “thank you” in Hindi.
After learning the word, she turned to fans and said “shukriya,” earning loud cheers and admiration for her effort to connect with the local audience.
She was also spotted warmly posing with Isha Ambani, adding to the buzz surrounding the event.
Fenty Beauty, launched in 2017 in collaboration with LVMH, revolutionised the beauty industry with its commitment to inclusivity, debuting with a foundation range of 40 shades catering to diverse skin tones.
The brand has now officially entered the Indian market and is available through Reliance Retail’s Tira and Sephora.
Rihanna’s visit also carried a sense of familiarity, as she last travelled to Mumbai in 2024 to attend the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Beyond her business ventures, she remains a dominant force in global music, having sold out 10 concerts at London’s O2 Arena and performed in over 100 countries through her world tours.
In 2014, she was honoured with the Icon Award at the American Music Awards, presented by her mother, Monica Braithwaite, marking a defining milestone in her illustrious career. (Agencies)
