Three arrested for ATM theft in Bhoirymbong

Nongpoh, April 29: Three individuals involved in the theft of the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank ATM at Bhoirymbong on the night of April 6 have been arrested by the police after absconding for several weeks.
The accused were apprehended during coordinated operations by police teams from Meghalaya and Assam across multiple locations in the Barak Valley region. The arrested individuals have been identified as Jiarul Hoque, Amjad Ali, and Julhash Uddin. According to sources, the three are believed to be part of a larger gang involved in ATM thefts across the country. Police have launched a detailed investigation to trace their past activities and identify other members of the network involved in similar crimes.
