Kangana Ranaut defended Aishwarya Rai Bachchan against criticism over her outfit at the Cannes Film Festival.
Sharing Aishwarya’s picture on Instagram, Kangana stated that fashion is a form of self-expression and reflects a person’s attitude and interpretation of life.
She emphasized that no woman is obligated to satisfy public expectations and praised Aishwarya’s confidence and appearance, calling her “glorious.” Kangana also addressed criticism related to age, saying people should become accustomed to seeing older women confidently walking red carpets.
Aishwarya attended Cannes as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, a role she has held since 2003, alongside her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. For her first appearance at the festival, she wore a blue structured mermaid-tail gown designed by Amit Aggarwal.
The couture outfit, named “Luminara,” symbolized light in motion through sculptural craftsmanship and engineered design. She completed the look with a shimmering dupatta, loose curls, pink-toned makeup, red lipstick, and diamond jewellery adorned with blue stones. (PTI)
