M’laya end National Karate C’ship with 1 silver, 3 bronze

SHILLONG, June 10: Meghalaya’s Daniel Dabiangbha Warjri bagged a silver medal at the recently concluded 5th KIO Sub-Junior, Cadet & Junior National Karate Championship in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Daniel won the silver in the Individual Kumite Junior -68 Kgs event. The other medal winners –all bronze – are Jason McRyan Malngiang (Individual 13 Years Kata), Precious Stone Mukhim (Individual Kumite 13 Years -55 Kgs) and Sa I Banmanbha S Blah (Individual Kumite Junior -53 Kgs).
The Malki Sports Club on Wednesday felicitated Daniel of Lumbalang, Malki, in recognition of his outstanding achievement.
The felicitation programme was held at Malki Point and was attended by office bearers and members of the club, as well as family members and well-wishers of the young karateka.
