SHILLONG, June 13: Umroi Airport will celebrate Yatri Suvidha Diwas on Monday to highlight ongoing efforts for the enhancement of travel experience and strengthening of stakeholder engagement.
The celebration will feature a series of activities, including a warm reception for arriving passengers, the rendition of Vande Mataram, a tree plantation drive, a health check-up camp for stakeholders and a drawing competition for children.
The airport will also honour housekeeping staff and women employees in recognition of their dedication and contribution to airport operations.
According to Umori Airport Director Rajeev Ranjan, Yatri Suvidha Diwas provides an opportunity to acknowledge the collective efforts of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), airline partners, security agencies, government departments and other stakeholders in delivering quality airport services.
He also reiterated Umroi Airport’s commitment to continuous improvement and its role as a key gateway to Meghalaya and the Northeast.
