Chris Brown pleads guilty to London assault charge
Singer Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to an affray charge at Southwark Crown Court in London over a 2023 nightclub attack on music producer Abraham Diaw. Brown admitted the lesser offence after previously facing a more serious charge of attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm. His vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, also pleaded guilty to affray. Prosecutors alleged Brown struck Diaw twice with a glass bottle before Akinlolu joined in the assault, leaving the producer hospitalised with head and knee injuries. Brown was arrested in Manchester in 2025 after returning to the UK for his world tour and was later granted bail. He and Akinlolu are scheduled to be sentenced in October.
