Accident

On October 18 at around 7.15 am, an accident took place between a Maruti Gypsy (ML-08C-9333) driven by Bikash Rabha (24) and a Maruti Zen (ML-05C-7833) driven by Prasanta D Sangma (22) near Raj Bhavan, Shillong. As a result, drivers of both the vehicles sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On October 17, an accident took place between one auto-rickshaw (ML-05E-2209) driven by Shaphar Thabah (22) and one motorcycle (ML-05L-6423) ridden by Gary Kharumnuid (22) at Ladshyiap, Golf Links, Shillong. As a result, rider and one pillion rider of the motorcycle sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital.

Attempted theft

On October 17 at around 1.30 pm, one Sanjay Gurung was apprehended while stealing one handbag from Ribanora Hujon at Bhutia Market, Police Bazar.

Glue on ATM keyboard

On the night of October 16, unknown miscreants applied glue on the keyboard of two ATMs at SBI Evening Branch, Police Bazar, Shillong.

Victim tied to tree

Lucina Sapuh lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on October 15, two persons Thomas Dkhar and Head Dkhar took her son Jimmy Sapuh to a place known as Lumiongja (WJH) and left him tied to a tree for the whole night. On the morning of October 16, the duo assaulted and attempted to murder him. Police arrested both the accused.
