SHILLONG: SS NetCom defeated BSNL by five wickets and MeECL defeated Veterinary Dept by 52 runs in quarterfinal matches of the Inter Office cum Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament on Monday.
In the first match, BSNL won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 96-8 in 20 overs. Sudhanshu scored 28 while Sukhdev took 2-15. In reply, SS NetCom made 97-5 in 14 overs. Pritom scored 31 while Sudhanshu took 2-17.
In the second match, MeECL won the toss and elected to bat. They made 111 all out in 19.2 overs. Sandy Swer scored 32 while Deibormi picked up 2-20. In reply, Veterinary Dept were skittled out for 59 in 13.5 overs. Frankistar Shadap scored 20 while Johny John took 3-20.
Pine Wood will face MLP and Purple Rain go up against 6th Battalion in the next two quarterfinal matches on Tuesday.
