IndianOil scholarship for SC&ST engineering students

IndianOil has launched a scheme to award scholarship to deserving students from the scheduled caste & scheduled tribes perusing graduate engineering courses. The `IndianOil Scholar’ would also be considered for employment in the Corporation on successful completion of the Engineering Course.

The Corporation proposes to award 25 scholarships every year to deserving students. Selection of students would be made on the basis of their performance in the 1st year engineering programme as well as pre-engineering qualifying examination.

The Engineering Colleges and Institutions recognized by the Central or State Govt can forward a maximum of two applications each. The selected students would receive a scholarship of Rs. 500/- per month during their entire period of study on the basis of continuous satisfactory performance.

The `IndianOil Scholar’ after graduating in Engineering will be required to appear for written test and interview. If selected, he will be taken in as an Engineer/Officer Trainee in the Corporation. He would be required to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of the three years besides the 12 months’ training period.
