It seems like there is still hope yet for the people of Shillong amidst all the looting and plundering of everything worth its while. The younger generation is now showing a lot of interest in the graver issues of their city, as can be seen from the “Save Tara Ghar”campaign initiated by a few college children. It has now ballooned into a substantial support base for the movement. In fact the youth have more feelings about all the wrongs being done to their world and fortunately for us have now come all out to stop it – Be it in saving the fragile environment or easing the ever increasing traffic congestion. After all they are just saving their world today for a better tomorrow.
Keep it up. We are all with you in this fight to save our children’s world too.
