FKJGP cries foul over teachers’ appointment

NONGSTOIN: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP), West Khasi Hills, on Thursday sought the intervention of Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills in appointments of teachers recommended by the District Selection Commitee (DSC) for appointment in the amalgameted Government Secondary and Higher Secondary schools.

FKJGP said a number of candidates recommended by the DSC for appointment in the four amalgamated schools in the district. But the vacancies have been fílled up by candidates recommended by the MPSC.

FKGJP also urged the Deputy Commissioner to intimate the Inspector of Schools to forward a list of the number of vacancies to the DSC.
