Deputy CM for more garbage bins in city

Shillong: Stressing on the need to install more garbage bins in selected areas of the city, Deputy Chief Minister Bindo M Lanong has said the Forest Department should allot more land for creation of garbage dumping ground in Shillong and its suburbs. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Lanong said the Forest Department should allot land for creation of such dumping ground while adding that Marten alone cannot accommodate all the waste products.”New dumping areas should be created in various places in the city such as Malki, Mawdiangdiang, Golf-Flink”, the Deputy Chief Minister said.
