Mukul reviews Garo Hills flood damage, assures help

 SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Sunday visited areas in West Garo Hills district which were inundated by the recent flash floods caused by torrential rain.

Dr Sangma visited Garobadha area, which received the maximum damage, and took stock of the relief work being undertaken there by the District Administration.

He also visited neighbouring areas like Harigaon, Mugdangra and other villages.

Dr Sangma assured the affected families that much was being done to alleviate their miseries.

He further advised the affected families to drink boiled water and promised to construct hygienic borewell for each of the affected families.
