Paris Hilton’s reality show cancelled

Los Angeles: Socialite Paris Hilton’s reality show titled ‘The World According to Paris’ has been cancelled only after its first season. Hilton’s show on Oxygen network earned barely 400,000 viewers for its June debut and sunk even lower in subsequent episodes. “The show just recently completed its run and no pick up decision has been made,” said a representative for the show. But Hilton is taking the abrupt end of her show bravely. The socialite tweeted that she was “loving life” and “so excited for all of my upcoming projects. It’s going to be a super busy year, but so much fun.” (PTI)

DiCaprio denies giving car to Lively

Los Angeles: A representative of Leonardo DiCaprio has slammed reports that the Hollywood heartthrob has gifted his girlfriend, Blake Lively, a eco-friendly car. It was reported earlier that the 36-year-old actor splurged USD 40,000 on a black Prius for his new lady love because he “was really put off by her driving around in her gas-guzzling Range Rover.” But DiCaprio’s publicist has said the reports are false. “There is no truth to the story,” said the representative. The ‘Shutter Island’ star is known for pushing green causes. He arrived at the Oscar’s two years ago in a Prius to highlight global warming issues. And he recently bought a USD 100,000 hybrid supercar, the Fisker Karma. (PTI)

Wahlberg returns to fashion roots

Los Angeles: Actor Mark Wahlberg is returning to his fashion roots as the new spokesman for clothing line Prvcy. The 40-year-old ‘Fighter’ star, who was a Calvin Klein underwear model, has signed on as the brand ambassador for the men’s couture collection. “Wahlberg’s early experience and powerhouse image will help catapult sales and increase the label’s awareness among male shoppers,” a Prvcy representative said. The actor isn’t the only celebrity to endorse the brand – Lindsay Lohan’s younger sister Ali has signed up to front the women’s line. (PTI)

Nick Cannon enjoys being a father

Los Angeles: America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon loves being a father to twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe, and finds it hard being away from the babies and wife Mariah Carey. Cannon, 30, and Carey became parents to the fraternal twins in April and he said that he is loving every minute of being a dad, reported OK magazine. “There is no ‘worst’ part at all. Everything is amazing about fatherhood. The best part is when they communicate with you and they recognise you. It’s the best,” he said. While Nick enjoys his work, he admits he hadn’t realised how difficult he would find going out without the twins and his 41-year-old wife. (PTI)
