Haryana to set up 174 power substations: Hooda

Bhiwani: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said the state government planned to construct 174 substations of different levels, argument capacity of 98 existing substations and erect 3232 km long transmission lines during next three years.

Hooda, who laid foundation stones of 33 KV substations Baliali, Barsi and Mandhana at Baliali village in this district, said that construction of these substations would cost Rs seven crore and benefit 30,000 consumers of 41 villages, directly or indirectly, by way of increased voltage and regular power supply.

He said that besides creating additional power generating capacity, the state’s power utilities had given impetus to strengthen power transmission and distribution system so as to give reliable and uninterrupted power supply.

The power utilities constructed 273 new substations of various levels, augmented capacity of 487 existing substations and erected 3584 kilometre long transmission lines during last six years to strengthen power transmission system in the state. (UNI)
