Painting competition on energy conservation

 SHILLONG: The finals of the Annual State level painting competition under the aegis of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE) and the Ministry of Power was held at NEEPCO Auditorium Hall on Monday where 43 students from different schools participated. Sr.Lecturer, Directorate of Educational Research and Training David Nongrum inaugurated the event.

Urban Affairs minister Ampareen Lyngdoh graced the prize distribution function as chief guest. Lashit Hazarika Rabha of K.V. Happy Valley, Shillong got the 1st prize, Rae- Anne Diengdoh Pyrtuh of Pine Mount School Laban won the 2nd prize while Sweety Lamare of St. Mary Mazzerello, Jowai claimed the 3rd prize.Speeches on Energy Conservation were presented on the occasion. Earlier, a report on the painting competition on energy conservation- 2011 was presented by  Mr. T. Kakoty, Nodal Officer,  Meghalaya.
