Disbursement of wages of home guards

The Superintendent of Police (City), East Khasi Hills M Kharkrang has informed that the wages of the home guards attached with the different traffic branches of East Khasi Hills during the year 2010-11 has been drawn and will be disbursed at Shillong Police Reserve during working days from 2pm to 7pm.

NSS Camp

A one-week NSS (National Social Service) is being organized at Assamese LP School from Thursday to December 1. It is being sponsored by the NSS Cell of NEHU. About 40 students from Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School took part in the week long camp here on Saturday.

 Unidentified body

An unidentified body of a man aged around 35 40 years, is lying in the Civil Hospital morgue. The police has requested the concerned relatives to contact the police

 Dorbar condemns ostracisation

The Dorbar Hima Shella Confederacy has condemned the move of Dorbar Shnong Shella led by Secretary Tobi Tiewdop to ostracize Kondro K Ksanlah for failing to respect the rules of the Dorbar Shnong. The Confederacy has mentioned that KK Ksanlah was elected as an executive member of the Confederacy without any objection from the Dorbar Hima and that the official approval was received from the District Council.“We empathize with Ksanlah’s situation and we wish he gets justice from the concern authority”, Confederacy Acting Wahadadar Wallam Phrang Lyngdoh Mawphlang said in a statement issued here on Saturday.
