JOWAI: A three- year old boy, Lamonmi Lyngdoh, was allegedly murdered by his stepfather, Emkyrdan Bhoi of Sahsniang village in Jaintia Hills district on Saturday last. Bhoi was arrested on Monday morning by Raliang police.
Sources informed that at first, the child’s mother and relatives thought that the child might have died due to some illness, but while bathing the child’s body, they found his neck was strangled and suspected that he was killed by the stepfather while they were sleeping and when the mother had gone to the bathroom.
