JOWAI: The Khliehriat Civil Sub-Division is functioning without an administrative head for the last few months since the former Additional Deputy Commissioner who is in charge the civil Sub-division as the administrative head was transferred to Shillong on promotion.
Concerned over the vacancy of the Administrative head, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Khliehriat Circle has demanded immediate appointment of a new sub-divisional officer for the welfare of the Khliehriat Sub-Division.
“The non- availabilility of the administrative head in Khliehriat Sub-Division is causing inconvenient to the people of the area”, KSU Circle President stated in a release issued here.
The KSU has demanded appointment of a full-fledged ADC in charge along with two Extra Additional Commissioners (EAC) to assist the SDO.
‘The Government should not delay the appointment and we have set fifteen days deadline for the government to take immediate action else we will take our own course of action if the government failed to response”, the release stated.
