‘Railway connection to boost economy’

 SHILLONG: The Dolloi of Sutnga Elaka and members of Sutnga Dolloiship expressed its sincere appreciation and welcomed the initiative made by Union Minister of State VH Pala,to extend the railway connection to Meghalaya via Jaintia Hills.

E Sutnga, Dolloi Sutnga Elaka, Sutnga Dolloiship said that the railway connection to the state is long due and now the project will see the light of the day.

“The railway connection will not only solve the unemployment problems but it will also boost the state economy and will promote tourism, particularly coal to various Indian states,” said Mr Sutnga. He also stated that the opposition by few NGOs towards the railway project should not deter the overall development of the state.
