Mumbai: Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited film, Don 2: The King is Back will release in 41 countries. Don 2 is directed by Farhan Akhtar, who also helmed the first installment Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006), a box-office hit and a remake the 1978 Hindi cult classic Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan.
“Learnt yesterday that Don 2 will release in 41 countries worldwide. Wow!! I guess that’s the number of countries now out to catch him!!,” Farhan wrote on twitter.
Don 2 will release in UK two days before its December 23 opening in India and the rest of the world.
“Feel so proud to see the extent to which interest in Hindi movies has grown.. Thanks to you.. the Fans (pat yourself on back moment),” Farhan said.
The film is set to release on 23 December, in both 2D and 3D formats and will also be available in Tamil and Telugu. (PTI)
