Bangladeshi held with fake notes

 SHILLONG: A Bangladeshi national was arrested by the BSF in West Garo Hills district along with fake currency notes along Indo-Bangla border.

In a statement to the media, the BSF said that Md Samim Ahamad was caught when he was trying to enter India with the fake notes. They seized the fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 1500, a mobile phone set with two Bangladeshi SIM cards and an ATM card belonging to Dutches Bank of Bangladesh.

Ahamad, who hails from Sherpur district in Bangladesh has been handed over to Meghalaya police for further investigation.
