Shops gutted in Tuensang town

KOHIMA: A fire, that broke out in Tuensang town, the district headquarters, totally razed eight shops on Thursday, however there was no casualty in the incident. Official sources here on Friday said that the incident took place in the wee hours of Thursday and the inferno completely burned down the shops, including one grocery and music store. Three fire-tenders were pressed into action for more than five hours to douse the inferno. Police forces and fire brigade personnel averted the inferno from spreading to other adjoining houses.
