SHILLONG: One person died on the spot after he was hit by a truck (ML 04 A 6060) at Jiengkieng Nogthymmai on Monday night. The deceased is identified as Christopher Nongrum (47). The truck was later seized by police at Madanryting. The driver of the truck Javlin Dkhar has been arrested.
