SHILLONG: The North East Dialogue Forum (NEDF), a conglomerate forum of different NGOs, Religious Bodies, Intellectuals and Social Activists from the northeast, expresses deep sorrow over the escalation of factional fights in Athibung of Peren District and Zunheboto District, Nagaland.

In fact, it is unfortunate to learn that the death toll in factional violence since December 22 has rose to five. The more distressing fact is that the innocent people, including women and children are facing danger even while inside their homes.

The NEDF Convener urged the groups to maintain maximum concern taking into account the presence of local populace who has been bearing the horror for many years.
