New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Agatha Sangma, presided over the prestigious 17th General Session of the Afro-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) which concluded in the troubled Egyptian capital of Cairo on Thursday. Agatha was leading the Indian delegation.
The General Session of the Conference, comprising of all member of the Organization, is the supreme decision making authority on all matters relating to AARDO.
The three-day conference also elected new President, two Vice-Presidents and Executive members. As President Agatha was accorded the status of a state guest.
