NONGSTOIN: The Hill State People’ Democratic Party (HSPDP) Nongstoin Assembly Constituency on Thursday unanimously selected sitting MLA and president of the party Hoping Stone Lyngdoh as their candidate from the Nongstoin Assembly Constituency.
The meeting presided over by LG Nongsiej, MDC, Nongstoin also decided to support the HSPDP central body’s demand for solving the Assam-Meghalaya border issue and also the demand for creation of a separate Khasi-Jaintia state.
Later, Lyngdoh while speaking to this scribe, said that he would continue his political career until and unless his long-cherished dream of a separate Khasi-Jaintia State is fulfilled.
