Ampareen inspects parking lot at Jhalupara

 SHILLONG: The Urban Affairs minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Tuesday inspected the parking lot situated at Jhalupara to find out the reported illegal activities in the parking lot.

Residents near the parking lot earlier expressed their concern over the anti-social activities which often happen under the cover of darkness in the parking lot meant for the parking of long distance trucks.

“During the inspection I found everything to be normal” she said adding that earlier too she had sent a patrolling party in the parking lot but no illegal activity was found. However, the minister has urged the police to conduct checking in the parking lot every night

“I will not tolerate any nuisance and I will be very strict with any menace,” she added.
