Akhilesh Yadav to be UP CM: Reports

Lucknow: According to reports, Akhilesh Yadav is set to be elected as the 33rd Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. According to party sources here , all hitches have been cleared for electing Akhilesh through democratic way as the new chief minister of UP. The decision was reached after party president Mulayam Singh Yadav held meeting with senior party leader Mohammad Azam Khan and another leader Shivpal Singh Yadav. ‘ It has been decided that Mr Azam Khan would propose the name of Akhilesh as the leader during the legislature party meeting while Shivpal Singh Yadav will support the proposal,’ the sources said.

The legislature party meeting is convened on Saturday morning at 1100 hours at the party office here to be chaired by Mulayam Singh Yadav.

At 38, Akhilesh Yadav will be the youngest CM of Uttar Pradesh. (Agencies)
