Inter-school quiz, debate competition organised

 SHILLONG: To further facilitate the younger generation on the importance to preserve the rich traditional culture of the state, the State Department of Arts and Culture for the first time organized an Inter-School Quiz and Debate Competition at U Soso Tham Auditorium on Tuesday.

The competition saw the participation of active students from various schools who explained and discussed the topic ‘Lost of Culture, lost of identity’ at length.

  Based on the performances, Joanna Syngkon from Pine Mount School bagged the first prize followed by Wandakmen Khongmen also of Pine Mount and Adelene of Kiddies Corner School bagged the second and third prize respectively.

 In the quiz competition based on the Culture of Meghalaya, 14 schools from the city took part.DNS Wahlang bagged the first prize, followed by Pearly Dew School and Gorkha Pathshala who bagged the second and third prize respectively.
