RBI workshop on March 24

 SHILLONG: The Reserve Bank of India is organizing a workshop on March 24 in the city to endeavor to know the payment needs of the region.

The workshop is purposely organized to provide impetus to the growth of online payments besides understanding the payment needs of the region and is themed, “Enhancing Financial Inclusion through modern electronic payments systems – Look North East”.

The workshop will be attended by RBI Deputy Governor HR Khan; Executive Director G Padmanabhan and the Meghalaya Chief Secretary besides senior officials from the region’s eight state government, union government agencies and financial institutions, informed the officials.
