SBI urged to release KCC loans to farmers

 NONGPOH: The Ri Bhoi Youth Social and Development Organization (RBYSDO) Umden Circle has appealed upon the State Bank of India, Nongpoh Branch to immediately release the loans under Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to the farmers of Umden areas.

Informing this to this scribe, RBYSDO Umden Circle President Rijied Khymdeit said that the bank has imparted training to the farmers six month back but till date the farmers have not received KCC loans. He thus called upon the authority concerned to do the needful at the earliest as to ease the burden on the farmers and also boost agricultural productivity.Expressing concern over the irregular supply of potable water to the village, Khymdeit said that the people are facing numerous problems while urging the PHE department to ensure proper supply of water.Deploring over the erratic issuance of electricity bills to the consumers and irregular power supplies, the RBYSDO Umden Circle President called upon the MeCEL to ensure timely issuance of bills and also restoration of regular power supplies.Khymdeit said that they will be compelled to resort to alternative steps if the authorities concerned do not address the grievances raised by them for the welfare of the people.
