FKJGP apprehends 20 migrant labourers

 Shillong: The FKJGP Jaiaw Circle on Tuesday apprehended around 20 migrant workers during an inspection at Jingkieng Mawlai near CRPF Camp.

The Federation urged the Rangbah Shnong of the locality to scrutinize the documents of any migrant worker before granting then NOC to work in the locality.

“We do not want the locality to be encroached upon by the non-local population,” the Federation added, while informing of the inspection drive.

They also called upon the government to take serious note of the matter and implement the Work Permit System in its true spirit to prevent influx into the State.
