Inter-School cricket: Buddha Vidya Nikletan register win

SHILLONG: Buddha Vidya Niketan beat Shillong Secondary School by 10 wickets in the 7th IP Das Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament at Cricket Ground, Polo on Thursday. Shillong Secondary School decision to bat first back fired as they were bundled out for a paltry 44 runs in 14.3 overs. Bishan grabbed 4 wickets for 13 runs in five overs. In reply, Buddha Vidya Niketan romped to the target in 6.4 overs without losing any wickets. The second match between St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and All Saints’ Diocesan Higher Secondary School ended in a tie. After winning the toss, All Saints’ elected to bat first scoring 114 for the loss of ten wickets in 23.4 overs. Gopi was the top scorer with 43 runs of 35 balls while Bryan was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. In reply St Anthony’s were also bundled out for 114 as the match ended in a tie. Bijay scored 31 of 37 balls while Satbir grabbed three wickets.
