Arunachal minister stresses on RGGVY implementation

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Power Minister Tanga Byaling has stressed on speeding completion of village electrification works so that the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), could be enjoyed by all the people of the state soon. Addressing a review meeting on RGGVY here yesterday, the minister informed that he had recently met the officials of Ministry of Power and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and apprised them about the obstacles faced by the state in early completion of the schemes. The review meeting was convened to ascertain the progress of RGGVY works during last financial year and to take stock of the ground realities including problem encountering the schemes execution, official sources said here today. While participating in the discussion, Lok Sabha MP Takam Sanjoy advised all officers to highlight the hurdles faced in implementation of RGGVY scheme and assured to take up the matter with the appropriate authority at the Centre.
