Tagore’s birth anniversary celebrations

SHILLONG: Women’s College celebrated Tagore’s 150th Birth Anniversary at the college auditorium on Wednesday. The program started at 11am with welcome songs presented by tribal girl students of the college. “These girls were especially trained to sing Rabindra Sangeet on the occasion,” said Debshakti Dutta, Bangla Teacher, who trained these girls.The program was attended by Sanjay Mukherjee, Professor, RGIIM, Shillong as chief guest who gave a speech on Tagore’s view on education.
