TURA: The A’chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO) urged upon the Tura Municipal Board to increase the number of dustbins around the town in order to control improper dumping of garbage that has been causing a lot of inconvenience of late.

President of AYWO, Adinson Ch Momin said “The present number of dustbins in and around town is insufficient to cater to the needs of the growing population and people are dumping garbage on roadside, public places, junctions of localities etc. which pollutes the town. “

The Organization also mentioned that some places like Araimile junction near PHE building, Reserve Gittim near Civil Hospital etc. require immediate installation of new dumping facilities.

The AYWO also mentioned that the clearance of the dustbin in the municipal area should be completed before busy hours.
