Retired judge passes away

SHILLONG: Justice (Retd) Beryl Lamare, former judge of the Gauhati High Court passed away on Wednesday morning at his residence in Upper Shillong at 10 am following a brief illness. He was 68.

He was a judge of the Shillong Bench of the Gauhati High Court from November 2000 till December 2005.

He was also a judge in the Kohima Bench of the Gauhati High Court. Justice Lamare was also Chairman of the Consumer Redressal Forum of Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
