Kohima: The representatives of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) yesterday demanded that the Memorandum of Understating (MoU), struck with Bangalore-based Mindlogicx Infratec Ltd, be revoked with immediate effect as the new system of declaring the undergraduate results was ‘creating confusion about the accuracy of the results’.

The union met Nagaland University Vice-Chancellor Prof B K Konwar and put forth their demand.

In a statement today, ANCSU president Vilhousielie and general secretary Kivigho K Yeputhomi said the MoU was signed between the Nagaland University and Bangalore-based Mindlogicx Infratec Ltd, which deals in integrated examination management system (EMS) in the university since 2011.

The ANCSU also sought clarifications from the NU authorities about the declaration of undergraduate results for two times.

ANCSU asked the authorities to make it public the stand of the University as to what they would do for the students who were declared pass in the first declaration but declared fail in the second declaration of results.

The statement said they demand for justice and solution to be given to the students immediately.

The ANCSU representatives cited that Naga students were unable to score high percentage while in NU, but once they go outside in some other universities they performed well, scoring excellent marks.

With regard to this, they requested the NU authorities to find out possibilities of changing the evaluation system. (UNI)
