“Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has briefed me on the various obstacles the State Government is facing in implementation of the Centrally-sponsored projects. I want to assure that the Centre would remove these problems one after another by working in close coordination with the State Government,” Nair said while speaking to reporters after his meeting with the Chief Minister here on Wednesday.

He also informed that the Chief Minister has sought the cooperation of various Union Ministries and agencies in implementing the pending projects.

Nair added that Dr Sangma is eager to work in close coordination with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on the expansion plan of the Shillong Airport in Umroi.
