SHILLONG: Rangdajied United routed Shillong Lajong FC by three goals to nil to secure their fifth straight victory in the ongoing Shillong Premier League.

An early fourth minute goal by foreign striker Jeribe laid the foundation for what turned out to be a comfortable victory for the table-toppers.

After getting off to a promising start, Rangdajied were successful in applying pressure on the younger Shillong Lajong FC side and it wasn’t long before a second goal was scored.

A decent cross from David in the 37th minute was converted by Bansharai Sunn by way of a header, giving their side a 2-0 lead.

Then, a minute before going into halftime, another pass from David was just enough for Babatunde to find his spot and produce a clean through shot past SLFC’s goalkeeper.

The second half went goal-free, although Shillong Lajong’s Redeem could have earned himself a goal in the 63rd minute after accepting a calculated pass from Th. Bipin Singh. He narrowly missed the shot, however, and SLFC’s hopes of a goal were dented.
