NEHU launches digital repository

 Shillong: With an aim of compiling and archiving scholarly publications of the highly-ranked faculty members of the NEHU who are highly-cited in the academic world, The North Eastaern Hill University (NEHU) launched its own digital repository.

The aim of launching this digital repository was to make the scholarly publications of the faculty members of NEHU available on global network for wider accessibility and use.

It also includes other NEHU publications, like ordinance, regulations, statutes, proceedings and minutes of academic and executive council meetings, annual reports, all issues of NEHU journal, PhD and MPhil thesis submitted in NEHU. All of this has been made available on desktop environment and searchable on every access points of common user of information

In addition to this scope of the digital repository, NEHU has developed a large database on north east covering literature published on North East in the form of books, journals articles and others.

It further aims at developing a rich digital resource on north east for the benefits of the researchers and interested individuals keeping in miond that the North East is an important area of research particularly for anthropologists, sociologists, economists and environmentalists including other scientists from India and abroad.
