Shillong: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has claimed that the latest move of former Lok Sabha speaker PA Sangma to quit state politics and form a ‘tribal-centric’ political party will not affect the other regional parties in the state.
“Sangma’s new party will not affect other regional parties in the state as their works are state specific and not union specific”, an official of the UDP told reporters here on Thursday.
