Graduation Day

The Synod College will organise the graduation day in honour of the students who graduated from the college in 2012 at 1 pm on Saturday at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw. Awards and prizes will be presented to students who secured ranks in the University examination. East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal will be present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Lok Adalat

The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council Court in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority will organise a Lok Adalat at the Council’s court in Garikhana on August 11.

Exhibition

The Bhajanlal Kamakhyalal Bajoria School will organise the school science exhibition on August 10 at 10am in the school auditorium. East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal will be present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Training

District Blindness Control Society , East Khasi Hills will impart training to the health workers of urban and rural areas of the district in common eye ailments , prevention and detection of simple eye diseases , refractive errors etc. Dr W Laloo , the member secretary of DBCS , EK Hills along with her staff will conduct the same in the office of the society at Civil Hospital Shillong on August 7.

Food festival

The Christian Mission Works Society will organise a food festival cum sale of work at Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar on August 11 from 11am onwards to generate funds for their ministry in Nepal.
