 Shillong: One Gideon Badwar (16) of Mawiong Umjapung was reported missing under water after he was suspected to be swept away by a strong current at Sona Pani River during heavy rainfall here on Thursday afternoon.

The flash flood which occurred on Thursday at around 3.30 pm at Sona Pani River following a heavy rainfall carried away four young people in which three had been rescued. According to the police, the four youth had gone to this place for a picnic and the flash flood occurred while they were crossing the river.
