SHILLONG: The Nongmensong Dorbar Shnong has filed an FIR against the BSF commandant for allegedly threatening to shoot a member of the Dorbar for objecting to the fencing by the BSF which is an encroachment into the locality.
As per the FIR, Nongmensong Rangbah Shnong B Khonglah has informed that a member of the Dorbar and Rangbah Dong of Umkdait R Shanpru on Thursday morning was called by the commandant of 83 Bn BSF Mawpat to his office in connection with the fencing activities carried out by the BSF .
“It is surprising to learn that the concerned Rangbah Dong on arriving in Commandant Office chamber was held through wrongful confinement and was abused by the concerned Commandant continuously from 9.30 am to 11 am. Apart from this, the Commandant threatened Shanpru that he would shoot him if any objection is made against the BSF fencing,” Khonglah alleged in the FIR.
