GNLA worker arrested

Shillong: Security forces on Friday arrested an Assam-based worker of the GNLA from near the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Acting on a lead provided by another cadre of the GNLA who was arrested by the security forces on August 5, a joint operation of the state police and the BSF raided the Tinpur village of South West Khasi Hills district and apprehended Ashish Sangma, a resident of Chittalmari of Nagaon (Assam) but lately has moved to Tinpur. (PTI)
