Arunachal police yet to trace out UTPs

Itanagar: The Arunachal police is yet to trace three under trial prisoners (UTPs), who escaped form district jail on Jully, near here on August 24.

After the jail break incident police personnel launched a massive search operation and raided different suspected areas, but failed to nab the culprits till this afternoon, according to police sources here. However, investigations were on for tracing the escaped inmates, sources said and added Assam police was also alerted about the incident.

Three UTPs escaped by scaling jail wall in the wee hours and managed to cover themselves in the darkness. Following the jailbreak incident, ten wardens of the district jail were suspended by the authorities in connection dereliction on duty. (UNI)
