A city based creative firm MindSpace Innovations has launched a free online magazine called The MindSpace available at www.themindspace-mag.com. It offers a platform for current affairs, business, art & entertainment. The first issue of The MindSpace went online on October 8, 2012.

NRHM

The Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Tura Unit in co-ordination with Schools, Medical Officer and Health workers, has organised two public interactive programmes on National Rural Health Mission on October 8 and 10 at the Chengkuregre school and Chongpotgre School under the Gambegre block South West Garo Hills. The objective of the programme was to disseminate information on NRHM in particular and other welfare schemes of the flagship programmes of the Centre.

Survey Project

St. Edmund’s College, Women’s College and St. Mary’s College participated in the Biodiversity Survey Project training which was organised by the AESI on Sept 15, 22 and 29 at NEHU. This project aimed at identifying the different Flora that can be found in particular areas.

Inauguration

The foundation stone for the office building of the district sericulture officer/district handloom officer and inauguration of mass weavers’ registration and mega health camp would be laid at Nongpoh on Thursday at 11am.

Seminar

The New Testament Restoration Church will hold a leadership seminar cum gospel meeting on October 18-21 at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar.
